This is an update to our previous post helping Burmese journalists to cover the ongoing conflicts in Burma (Myanmar). Core to our mission is supporting the journalism that exposes repression and empowering journalists facing digital autocracy. As noted in the last post on our efforts in Burma, we at OME have provided a select cadre of Burmese journalists with advanced media streaming equipment and cutting-edge training. We are continuing to work with those journalists.
Last week, our team and international news agencies started receiving successful test video clips.
We will continue to work with journalists covering the civil war and resultant human rights issues in Burma. We are looking to expand that support to all those moved by their cause. Moreover, we will continue to support the Free Burma Rangers (FBR) to ensure that they can make and deliver professional video content to be broadcasted on different media outlets through international news agencies such as the A24 news agency.
This is to communicate the suffering of the Burmese people successfully.
